What about the plug-in dryer stands? Aren't they the best option?
If you are keen on wasting electricity, yes... for sure. The reality is that the heated, forced air dryers only dry equipment 25% faster than good old air-drying. That means that if it takes 4 hours for gear to dry fully just left to air dry, the plug-in dryers will accomplish it in 3 hours. In addition, the dryer stands do not travel well. You travel, WE travel!!
What is the hanger made of?
The hanger is made of super-strong, injection-molded polypropylene which resists mold and mildew. The hanger hook is powder-coated, solid steel, and the clips have been improved since inception and are now a powder-coated zinc alloy. Finally, the straps are also made of polypropylene to resist mold and mildew. It weighs less than 2 pounds/1kilogram.
Can you wash the hanger?
Yes! We applaud your cleanliness! You can easily wash the straps by hand in a sink full of soapy water and then let them air dry, however it's really not necessary... unless someone spills a soda on the hanger or leaves their bottle of Gatorade uncapped and tosses it in their sports bag...
There's 3 of us in the family that play hockey/football/lacrosse, where in the world would we hang all of the equipment?
You can hang the equipment on any door, front or back, so technically you could have one set on the front of the laundry room door, and a second on the back. Another option would be to drill hooks into rafters/studs in the garage or basement. If the walls are filled, look up! A third option is to devote a closet or install a closet rod in the laundry room or basement to hold multiple kits of gear (see photo of our laundry room).
Does The Ultimate Sporting Gear Hanger work for hockey or box lacrosse GOALIE equipment?
Yes! It can hold a Senior XL goalie chest protector, XL pants, glove and blocker. To hang the leg pads, you would need an additional hanger, but the goalies with whom we consulted would rather keep their leg pads on the floor.
Where was the hanger made?
The hanger was manufactured in China by a very reputable company that produces a great selection of household products. They are true professionals and it was our pleasure to work with them so that we could bring a cost effective product to the market.
